I have tried every possible URL i can think of to link a google sheet as a source without success.

Hi Grant,

Did you mean you want to import data from google sheet to Excel by Power Query?

First I suggest you try this method:

• Make your Google Docs workbook visible to anyone that has the link (or public).
• Go File > Download as > Microsoft Excel.
• Get the link that was used in the browser's download manager.
• Go in PQ > From Web.
• Paste the link.
• Click "OK"

If this method not work for you, I suggest you post your issue to Power Query forum:
